About the artist
Having worked in creative marketing roles for over 20 years Luke always pursued a passion for painting and interior design in his spare time. Since turning 40 he began to be ever more drawn to focusing on the medium of painting and illustrations as an expression of the thoughts and feelings he experiences in quite abstract way through dreams, music and meditation.
Each of his original abstract paintings have a meditative aspect where the act of painting becomes a serene and reflective process. By layering paint and using different mediums, Luke hopes to reveal intricate patterns and rich textures that invite viewers to explore the depths of each piece.
Experimenting with Japanese artists inks and vintage fountain pens allows him to craft unique fonts and hidden messages, adding an element of mystery and discovery to his work.
