Amadora Frogson

Amadora is an artist living and working in Sheffield, who creates paintings ranging from detailed Sheffield scenes, bold abstract work and portraits. Her expressive style uses acrylic, spray paint and oil pastels to create layered paintings, inspired by the external energy and vibrancy of the world around us.

Alongside this external inspiration, Amadora also explores the inner workings of thoughts and emotions, and aims to translate the complexities and dynamic nature of our inner world through colour.

Merging portraiture with abstracts is the current focus for Amadora’s work, with the blending of these two styles being driven by her fascination with the freedom of abstracts, against the detail and narrative nature of realism.

Amadora is a self-taught artist, with her artistic journey beginning in lockdown 2020. Since then, she is now represented by galleries in Sheffield and London, and her work has been exhibited across the UK, and featured in House & Garden and Exposed Magazines.
